Norman Nelson is presenting Joe Katz his BMW of North America 700,000 mileage award.
Joe operated BMW Motorcycles of Daytona from 1982 until 1995. He is retired now, lives in Deland, Florida, and travels for most of the year attending all the BMW Motorcycle Rallies in the US and Canada.
His current motorcycle is a R1100RS and he is one of the most competent Motorcyclist/Camper/Travellers in the United States. Joe has been riding BMW's for 40 years and is a member of the BMW Motorcycle Club of Daytona Beach. |

We were proud to give Bob Diehl his 200,000 mile award recently!
Bob completed most of his last 100,000 miles on his K1200LT and his R1100GS. He also rode his R75/6, R100S, and R100GSPD.
His R1100GS took him through 33 states and three Canadian Provinces. Many of his trips were to Laconia and Daytona for the races while he lived in Kansas. One of his favorite areas to ride is southern Utah and northern Arizona. Earlier this summer, Bob rode his GS to Alaska and back from Ormond Beach.
Bob and his wife Judy live in Ormond Beach. Bob and Judy both ride Beemers and are true enthusiasts! |

Greg Schlaf is one of our good customers.
He won the Foreign Bike category at the Arlen Ness bike show Tuesday (7/16/02) night at Club 600 North.

Russ Pohl was presented the 200,000 Mile Award by Norm Nelson at the Daytona Beach BMW Motorcycle shop on March 18, 2002.
Russ rode 150,000 miles on a 1971 R75/5 and the other 50,000 miles were divided between a 1978 R100RS and a 1979 R100RT.
Russ lives in Ormond Beach. He reports that everyone of his trips has been a blast. He has been to every state except the New England area. He has been to the majority of the MOA Nationals.
He works in the Plastics production industry. |
